INGREDIENTS

¾ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish, or to taste
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice ( about 1 lime)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
Hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), to taste
2 tablespoons vodka, of drinkable quality
¼ teaspoon celery salt, or to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, optional

Instructions

1. Whisk together all of the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Taste and adjust the
seasoning as needed with horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, celery salt
and black pepper. (Note: For best flavor, make the sauce at least one hour before serving to
allow the flavors to meld; refrigerate, tightly covered, until needed).
2. Just before serving, stir in the parsley, if desired. Taste again, and adjust the seasoning if
needed.

Tips and Techniques
Make It Ahead: Make the cocktail sauce up to 24 hours ahead; store, tightly covered, in the
refrigerator.
